It’s a new life for me

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.” – Oprah Winfrey

In 2012, I quit my job and went back to school full time and I have to admit that I don’t regret it at all. I know 2013 will bring even more excitement and I hope it does the same for all of you too (the good kind, of course)!

To kick off the new year, we celebrated in Germany with friends and fireworks. This year, we had a Feuerzangenbowle, which is pretty cool. Check it out here!

It’s been a pleasure being back in Germany, although it took me about 10 minutes to read some moisturizer labels in the store today. I’ve eaten so much Schweinebauch in the last week, I’ve encrusted an extra layer of pork fat around my arteries.

When I head back to Maastricht, there’s only one more class left before the first semester ends. I’ve already decided what I will do during the second semester and am very excited to announce it in another post. It’s worth the wait ;-).It’s my first time back since I left for school and even though everything is very familiar, I still feel like a stranger. A stranger who speaks some German. Which is exactly who I was when I left.

What did you do for New Year’s Eve and what exciting things do you have planned for 2013?
