To celebrate being in Germany for a year (amazing how time flies), I’ve decided to re-launch the blog with a more appropriate name, look and feel and passion for sharing my experiences here, in the hopes that it helps someone else.
Why the new name?
When I originally picked “Nicht Mein Bier,” it was for sheer humor since I’m a huge fan of German idioms. “Not my beer” means “not my problem,” which is great to use in conversations, but doesn’t convey the best attitude blog-wise.
So what are the new choices?
I’ve narrowed it down to the top 3 choices and already started polling people on Facebook and Twitter. I’ve decided to use the English version of the idioms since they are often funnier and I don’t intend to write in German (it would be painful for all parties involved if that ever happens). In no particular order:
1. Again what learned (wieder was gelernt!)
2. Something is always (Irgendwas ist immes!)
3. From nothing comes nothing (Von nichts kommt nichts)
There’s still time to pick your fav! Let me know before the polls close 😉
